Even though I grew up in Los Angeles, one of the most anti-seasonal places Mother Nature has in America, I LOVE AUTUMN. Everything about it: the style of wearing cute sweaters with skirts and tights and ankle boots, the changing colors of the leaves, Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks, dressing up in costumes and asking strangers for candy, decorating the apartment with pumpkins, and of course EVERYTHING to do with Halloween!

My love of this season is probably my most ~basic girl trait~ but quite frankly I do not care one bit. Growing up, I was always outspoken about the things I loved, watching my friends try to be "cool" by hiding the fact that they loved this TV Show or that musical artist. Who cares what other people think! If you love it, you love it.
And so I am very open about my love for Autumn and Halloween, which John is learning to love as this is just another time of year to him, haha. One of the things I love doing every October is picking out a bunch of pumpkins, and getting to do that with the man I love is incredibly special. I wish I could take Franklin and Kap along to the pumpkin patch with us, but since I can't I maaaay have gone a little overboard this year on pumpkin-buying and brought the pumpkin patch home to them.
I placed a few of them on the kitchen floor to see if Franklin or Kap would come over, where I could then coax them into taking cute photos. As there was no food involved Kap was perfectly happy to not bother walking over from his favorite lounging spot - the sunlight streaming through the screen door - but of course, my curious little Franklin came right over.
It took a few tries, but finally I got Franklin to look up towards the camera and voila! Cute Franklin pumpkin picture.
Now, as much as I would love to dress up Franklin in a cute costume - and yes my initial thought is PUMPKIN COSTUME - I do not want to spend the money on a costume that will be too small to fit him next year. I also don't want him eating the costume or tearing it up, so I am saving costumes for next year when he is older and more understanding of what to eat and what not to eat, and what to claw and what not to claw. Also, I just don't know how Franklin will react to clothes, and at only 4 months old I don't want to stress him out over it.
I hope you all have a wonderful, spooky, and safe Halloween! And if you dress up your fur babies please send those pictures our way, we would love to see them! Happy Halloween!!!
