(On March twenty-fifth, Pop-pop was born!!!)
Today's blog post will be a special one, diving into John's bond with Franklin and Kap. He is an incredible cat dad, so full of love. He is constantly laying on the floor or on the bed with them, providing cuddles and attention. So many of our nicknames for the boys come from his imagination-- they not only make me laugh, but without realizing it I'll start using those nicknames too!
Pop-Pop is always on the lookout for new toys and treats for Franklin and Kap, and so for this special day the boys have been saving their pocket money to buy Pop-Pop a present he's been really wanting- a special set of golf balls!
(And of course I did make them pose with their gift. You can really see the excitement on their faces at being forced into taking this picture, haha. They're cats, what did I expect?)
But in all seriousness, to bond with a cat is an incredibly precious feat to accomplish, and I am lucky to have learned so much about being a great cat parent from John. From playtime to eating time to bedtime, John does it all with patience and grace (and the occasional grumbling- we are only human, after all!) and it fills my heart to watch him love and care for our boys.
