"I'm Franklin and you're watching Biscuit Channel!" *Bum bum, bum. BUM!*

It is every cat parent's dream for their little fur baby to make biscuits, and I am lucky enough to have caught Franklin making biscuits for the first time on camera! (Or nearly the first. Definitely the first time around me, so let's call it the first time lol.)

*Cue the AWWWWWWW audience track for those little meows*

As you can see in the video, Franklin is just learning to make biscuits, and I am hoping to take many more videos of his progress as he becomes a master biscuit maker! You can watch this journey unfold by following Franklin and the family on Instagram at @franklintiger.the.ragdoll.

Franklin is 17 weeks old at the time this blog post is published -- he was about 15 weeks when the video was taken -- and I have been trying to teach him to make biscuits since we adopted him at 9 weeks old. It only took 6 weeks! Ha! But in all seriousness, I've been trying on and off to teach Franklin to make biscuits when we snuggle on the bed at night, curling my own hands into gentle fists and kneading the blankets as if I were kneading dough. I honestly didn't think Franklin was picking anything up when he watched me do this, preferring to stop me after a minute or two and demand head scratches instead of biscuits. Now, however, Franklin has definitely learned not only to make biscuits on the bed, but that making biscuits next to Meemaw makes Meemaw really happy. And a really happy Meemaw gives out the special Minnow treats very quickly.

His Big Big Brother, Tiger, whom Franklin is named after, was the true KING of biscuit making. Tiger was a slow kneader, using the most care and love to make his biscuits for his family.

It's a little odd to say -- or type -- but John and I have been hoping that Franklin will learn a few things and naturally have certain characteristics/traits that Tiger had/was known for. Of course we love Big Brother Kap and are so excited for him to continue teaching Franklin lots of fun things, but he is not a biscuit maker, not like Tiger was. It is really important to John and I for Tiger to live on, in a way, through Franklin. And by the love that Franklin has for playing, cuddling, and now biscuit making, it is clear that we got our wish: Tiger will always be with us.
